Project Case Study: Redefining the Visual Identity of The Alpine Estate Chalets

Introduction

Our objective was to create a new visual brand identity for The Alpine Estate Chalets that reflects its excellence in a modern and timeless fashion. The Alpine Estate is renowned as one of Verbier's most beautiful and luxurious chalet retreats, boasting two main chalets and an additional third chalet option for larger groups. To capture the essence of this prestigious establishment, we developed a new logo concept that represents the three roof shape lines of the chalets, elegantly joined together in a timeless shield shape. This emblem symbolizes strength and tradition in a contemporary yet everlasting manner.

Creating a Design System

Before approaching a redesign we needed to define our style guide to exist as a unified design language. After creating our new design language we were about to build out cross functional UI components.

Logo Design

The logo design for The Alpine Estate perfectly embodies the chalet retreat's reputation for luxury and elegance. The three roof shape lines from the chalets are skillfully integrated into a shield-shaped emblem, symbolizing strength and tradition. The use of serif typography enhances the overall elegance of the logo, reflecting the high-end clientele the estate caters to. The logo is presented in silver, which exudes sophistication and complements the clean white background. Additionally, an elegant blue background option adds versatility to the logo's usage.

Color Palette

The chosen color palette of silver, dark blue, and white perfectly complements the visual brand identity of The Alpine Estate. Silver represents prestige and luxury, aligning with the high-end experience the estate offers. Dark blue adds depth and sophistication, evoking a sense of tranquility and trust. White provides a clean and timeless backdrop, allowing the logo and other elements to stand out.

Brand Collaterals

To extend the new visual brand identity across various touchpoints, we developed a range of brand collaterals. Envelopes and business cards were meticulously designed, incorporating the new logo and color palette.
